I struggled with self-love issues since I was a little girl, thru my teenage years and even as a young adult and then again after having my two girls. Now as I am entering menopause years and separated after 22 years of marriage, I am faced with new challenges each given to me to help me grow, evolve and become the best version of me.
I totally can relate to my own self love journey of discovering my own true authentic self and now live and breathe self-love every day.
I was bullied as a young girl for looking different, I had the “I wasn’t prettier or good enough syndrome” and my belief in myself and the lack of love of my body was low. Overcoming these issues meant unblocking the negative self-limiting beliefs thru the years of own journey of self-discovery and transformation. I connected spiritually at a soul level and thru my own personal experiences this has now given me the wisdom to go out and empower and support other woman in the most nurturing, magical and heart felt way.
What I have learnt is that nobody can love you first, you have to love yourself first. Looking for outside recognition and validation is just a cry for help from your own inner child who is craving attention and love. Part of this experience is connecting with her and really understanding what’s holding you back to be that incredible awesome amazing energised magnificent woman that you already are!
What is self-love?
Is it just self-care as we think we know it like long walks on the beach, meditation, lots of sleep, hot baths, massages or pampering or even eating healthier?
NO – its way more than this. It’s about accepting every aspect of yourself – even those parts that you have suppressed or hidden from others. Accepting and loving all parts of you, the good, the bad and the ugly. Unapologetically accepting it all. Owning it and being you.
